I’ve just retired my old shop bench. It has served faithfully for twenty five years, but it’s now time for something with better work-holding ability. The old bench is going next door where it will serve young artists and makers. This new bench is based on a 19th century design and very much inspired by Christopher Schwarz’s writing on the subject.
